My special interest presently is early-phase dose individualization in oncology. I have developed a methodological framework called Dose Titration Algorithm Tuning (DTAT), and built a fruitful research programme around it. This has yielded, among other results, a new coherence principle for dose finding. Presently working on related lay outreach to patients, advocates and oncologists.

More broadly, my hopes for medical science are that it will embrace richer theoretical content, and methods suitable for enabling that. I prefer Bayesian techniques on strictly practical grounds, for their greater flexibility to specify and estimate theoretically rich models.
