I am conducting a meta-analysis. One of the included papers has baseline characteristics of an outcome in intervention and control groups (No.). However, in reporting the findings they reported the event/total in the intervention group, and the Hazard Ratio (95% CI, p-value) of the control group, compared to the intervention group. How to calculate the event/total of the control group (for data extraction), or what is right to do in such a situation?
I don’t know how a non-covariate-adjusted estimate would be fully useful. I’d try to get the raw data.
