Two points: First, to anyone who tries the “FDA won’t like it argument”, show them the paper I posted above. In the paper, FDA statisticians considered 5 ways to handle baseline data - they recommeneded 2 of them, neither of which corresponds to the naive “change from baseline” analysis.
